New website and rebranding for Smoke Control Association

The Smoke Control Association (SCA), the industry body that represents businesses and associated organisations involved in the design, installation and maintenance of smoke control solutions, has launched new informative website together with a new logo.
 
SE Controls was a founder member of the SCA and along with a number of co-member companies, it helped play a part in the website’s development and content, which provides key information about the association’s role, aims and the importance of smoke control as a primary life safety solution.
 
In addition to being the voice of the smoke control industry, the SCA is also committed to ensuring its members comply with all the relevant regulations and legislation, as part of its continued drive to raise standards across the industry and help save lives.
 
To help support this the SCA introduced an additional mandatory requirement for membership in April 2018 where existing and prospective member companies must be assessed and certified under the IFC SDI 19 scheme and SE Controls was the first to achieve this after completing the rigorous independent auditing process.
 
Will Perkins, Group Managing Director with SE Controls, explained: “Smoke control saves lives, it’s that simple. The SCA’s new website helps reinforce this message while also providing a focus for the industry and information for the construction sector and the public who want to know more about smoke control solutions.
